Watch or participate in an old fashion plow day at Tillers International using oxen and horses.  Various crafts are also demonstrated.  I will be there demonstrating coopering.
April 29 Old Time Plow Day and Swap Meet Scotts Mill Park, 8451 S. 35th Street, Scotts, MI Scotts Mill is a Kalamazoo County park with a great operating water powered mill.  I will be demonstrating blacksmithing at the Festival.  Contact Janet at (269) 746-4628 for more information.

Coopering Tools

June 2 Rope Making Tillers International Kalamazoo, Michigan Rope making class taught at the Tillers International site.  Students in this class will learn the basics of making rope and assemble a rope maker to take home.
June 22-24 Kalamazoo Antique Engine Show Gilmore Car Museum
Richland, Michigan
Blacksmithing demonstrations by Chuck Andrews. The show also includes great antique tractor exhibits and a tour of the museum's famous car collection.
July 28-29 Coopering Buckets Tillers International Kalamazoo, Michigan This class will be held ONLY if the May 11 class is full.
August  3-19 Pioneer Village at the Indiana State Fair

I will be working with Richard Cole and Harley Chandler on daily demonstrations on wheelwrighting and blacksmithing. Watch the rebuilding of museum vehicle wheels during the fair.
Sept.7-15

Allegan County Fair

Allegan, Michigan Blacksmithing demonstrations in the historic village on the fairgrounds.  This village is one of Michigan's best kept secret.
Sept. 29-30 Wheelwriting Tillers International Kalamazoo, Michigan I will be co-teaching with Dave Kramer.  In this class we build or repair a wagon wheel.  It's really exciting.  We turn the hub, whittle the spokes, and, using fire, expand the tire and set it.
